Utility Ball

Resources Required: one utility ball or reasonable facsimile (e.g. Basketball, etc.)
 
Have the children sit in a circle with feet apart (touching toes with their neighbours). Give the ball to one child; he/she holds the ball and state his/her name and something she likes and then rolls it across to another.
 
Continue until everybody has a turn.
 
Variations:
  • Have the next person repeat what the person who rolled them the ball name was and what they liked.
  • Have the person with the ball repeat the names of the people who had the ball before them.
Uses:
  • This game is great as an icebreaker in order to learn other people’s names and interests.
