Spiced Hot Chocolate

1/4 cup (60 ml) sugar
1 tsp (5 ml) cinnamon
1/3 cup (80 ml) unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup (125 ml) water
3 1/2 (875 ml) cups milk
mini marshmallows
4 candy canes
 
1. Mix sugar, cinnamon and cocoa powder in a medium saucepan.
 
2. Add the water and stir until combined and thickened.
 
3. Put pan on stove and turn burner to medium.
 
4. Slowly add milk as you whisk.
 
5. Simmer (bud do not boil) for a few minutes until smooth.
 
6. Pour into mugs and garnish with marshmallows and a candy cane
 
Serves 4 (4 cups)
