The Birdie Song

 

 

Way up in the sky,

(point up)

The little birds fly.

(Flap arms)

While down in the nest,

(Make a nest by cupping hands together)

The baby birds rest.

(Use hands as a pillow)

With a wing on the left,

(Make left wing)

And a wing on the right,

(Make right wing)

The birdies are sleeping all snug for the night.

(Make hand pillow)

Shhhhhh,

(Press finger on lips)

THE BIRDIES ARE SLEEPING!

(yell this line).

The bright sun comes up,

(Use hands to make a sun over your head)

The dew goes away.

(Say in a deep voice and make fingers come down like rain)
